Makers Market, Saturday 3rd November, 10am til 6pm
A day of food, workshops and makers, with the Facebook event here. The Mission: to create a fun, playful inspiring space, that illuminates the work of our contemporary makers, offering you variety, modernity and quality, full of fresh talent and an engaging atmosphere. We hope to shine a spotlight on talent, and bring independent brands to the forefront of considered shopping, ensuring products are accessible to all. African Drumming Evening Classes – Thursdays
The walls of Union St will resound with the beautiful rhythms of the West African djembe drum. It is one of the most versatile percussion instruments on the planet due to its wide range of pitches, with more info here.
Spanish Classes for Adults – Fridays 10:15am til 11:30am in the ground floor cafe
A small, informal class providing the opportunity to use the Spanish language in conversation as well as to revisit and build on the grammar. We use all four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) through fun activities. No pressure and plenty of encouragement. A few spaces available.Intermediate level, GCSE or equivalent.

Adult Learning Cafe – Bi-Monthly Fridays
Are you interested in returning to learning and progressing to University or College? This drop-in cafe is a relaxed and informal way to meet and speak to staff and current students from your local universities and colleges, including specialists in student finance, careers advisors and staff who support mature learners. Visit for a free drink and a chat to find out about different routes into university and college, student finance and funding, and support for returning and / or mature students.
